Help to ID/Cure TANG

While i got the tangs i was told it had white spot (its not easy to get purple tang over here so took my chances :/ ) , it's in my Quarantine tank im trying to figure out the infection/disease and how to treat it . they are eating well , been feeding with garlic soaked . i'm pretty new to the hobby any help would be great thanx .

What I can see in the picture doesn't look like ich, it might be some sort of bacterial infection. Until you get an ID I'd do lots of water changes. You may need to treat them with a broad-spectrum antibiotic. Any way you can get larger/closer images?

Whether or not they have visible ich, I would treat with Cupramine (copper). If you see ich (white spot), continue treatment until a week after the last spots drop off, at minimum. If they show no signs of ich, it doesn't hurt to treat for a couple of weeks anyway to be sure they won't carry a parasite into the display tank. Make sure you measure the copper levels while you're treating -- too little is ineffective, too much can be deadly.
