Help, unidentified object attached to coral

I have something attached to a Coral that I can't Id. It has was looks like a ton of spines or needle like structures coming from the center all the way around of a hole. It's hard to get a pic because "it" is facing the back wall. It is yellow. Oh yeah and this has been there at least for weeks, I just thought it was part of the Coral, I couldn't see it. Any ideas?

Without a pic impossible....the only thing I know with spines is an urchin

Sounds like a pineapple sponge. If that's what it is, they are fine and nothing to worry about.
