Help: updating firmware & going wireless

I really would love some help in accomplishing the following 2 things...

1. Updating my fireware. I'm currently running Windows 7 using Parallels on my Mac. The RS232 port is currently in use for controlling my AI modules. I did purchase the USB expansion card, which I use to connect to my Mac. I have tried to update the firmware via USB, but I always encounter and error message. Can someone please help me resolve this issue!

2. Is there anyway possible to create a wirless connection without upgrading to the PIII, or purchasing the WLAN expansion card? Will a wireless USB hub work?

Hi

The wireless LAN expansion card is nearly as costly as the profilx 3 upgrade kit including return fitting service, my suggestion would be to go this route as you will get back a full firmware updated profilux (3) with Wireless capabilities using a third party cheap bridge.

Thanks for the quick reply Mike! What would you recommend for question #1? Also, is it possible to use a wireless USB hub to create a connection between the Profilux and my Mac? If thats not an option, can I use tha Apple Airpot Express to create the network connection?

Hi, I am not overly familiar with Mac, your best option is to use the GHL support forum for this one.

Nope you cant use a W-USB as the USB connection is not bi directional.
