Help! Urchin dead or alive?

Hi we just bought a pink pincushion urchin today. We come home and my punk emerald crab was picking at it's spines. I never had an issue in the past with emerald crabs picking at my urchins. Now the urchin hasn't moved it's tentacles or moved from the same spot. Could it be in shock from the new tank and being picked at or should I assume it's dead?

did you acclimate it long enough? you could try nudging with something and see if it moves. if no response, i'd pick it up and see. don't forget to wear a glove though.

We were rushed for time with acclimation unfortunately because we had to pick up our son from school. But we also bought a blue porcelain crab and a mandarin goby and both are doing well. We picked the urchin up after noticing the pink emerald crab picking at it and at that point it hadn't moved. Now it's still in the same spot. But it hasn't lost color or dropped spines.

I checked it this morning still no movement. I'll give it til tomorrow and if nothing I'll call time of death lol. But I am sad because it's a beautiful pink pincushion.
