Help urgently needed. Firefish being a bully.

Update:
As I write this the fire fish has returned to his normal/previous spot in the back right of the aquarium over some rock. The clowns have taken the area with the anemone. Sometes the fore fish goes by the anemone and the clowns quickly swim away, but then he leaves to go to his spot and they go back to the anemone.
Hopefully it'll stay like this until it improves even more and they each have there own area. I'm just glad they aren't darting all over the tank any more.
Oh and they ate a little more this morning.

Yea my experience is the pecking order will be

Female clown
Male clown
Wrasse
Your cleaner shrimp
Firefish

I have a pair of firefish, banggai cardinal, green clown goby.

Previously had a mating pare of ocellaris & six line wrasse. Removed these because the clowns would attack everything - my hand, water siphon, feeding tube, wrasse, etc etc.

In new tank, firefish are bullied by everything that moves.

I have to say this is the first time I've heard of a firefish being a bully. :)

Seriously, though...let the fish sort things out themselves. As long as the clowns are not being intimidated to the point of being reclusive, there's nothing to be concerned about. Plus, the clowns will eventually get bigger than the firefish and show it who is boss. None of my fish mess with my clowns unless they want chunks taken out of their fins.

Def odd no doubt...

Those clown fish will HOLD A GRUDGE... I think this will continue until you shake it up.. As the clowns grow older and more EVIL (YES Clown fish are evil) They will more and more intimidate the poor helpless Dart Fish.

As said above and Good practice re arranging the offending location(fought over territory ) Before the fish become nasty enemies...

Did i mention The Female Clown fish in your tank will Rule your tank and your Hand she will bitten upon entering the Terror Clowns Domain

Haha oh man you guys are hilarious.

And I agree with everything said, I'm sure in time they'll grow to be the dominate ones.
Latest update is that the fire fish has reclaimed that spot in the back corner of the tank that he originally had. The clowns have claimed the lower anemone as planned. And the wrasse can do whatever and swim where ever he/she wants, lol.

Adding a little more live rock would help your fish out a lot!

I agree! I need to get some more, but my "lfs" is an hour and a half away, and although the "live" rock I got from them was alive with bacteria, it was completely lifeless in terms of critters.
I need a better source, but can't find anywhere online that sells small quantities. It's always like 50 or 100 lbs.

If you have a local reef club, I recommend asking around on their forums. A lot of people seem to have live rock just sitting around because they bought too much, they changed their tanks around, or they took down a tank. Normally you can get it cheaper than online or at the LFS and in smaller amounts because you can find people that just want it out of the way or that want to help out other club members.

My "local" reef club forum on here includes my town and the far away town. I posted on there for live rock and only one person replied (who happened lived in my town, to my surprise) to say he'd give me some if he had any available -.-
I also posted in two of my towns selling Facebook pages (a general and a pet related) with no responses except for dry rock. And a third reef specific fb page, but that's mostly members from the far away town and I got no responses there either.

Oh wow. I guess I got lucky that I live in an area that is super active in the reef community. Good luck!

As for amazing live rock look up tbsaltwater. He is located 30 minutes from me and is very active in the community. I just went on his site and i didnt see anything about a minimum weight purchase. I have his rock in one of my tanks and its full of life, its straight out of tampa bay waters. He is also very helpful and returns emails rather quickly. As with any live rock youll get good hitchhikers and bad ones. But i can tell you, for the price itll be the livest rock you can buy. He probably also has those mini brittle stars an your looking for.

Thanks! I'll check it out. Unfortunately I'm also battling hydroids right now, and they're spreading. IF I decide to use panacur to get rid of them, then a lot of the wonderful live stuff I'll get on the rocks will just be wiped out :/
That's why I don't want to use it, but it's starting to look like the only choice.
