Well i got home today and just noticed that my male percula has his mouth open shaped like a perfect circle in the middle.

My wife stated that its had its mouth open like that for about 2 days now. Now i know a picture could help a lot but i dont have a digital camera to use right now.

Is there anyone that might know what this might be or why he has his mouth like that. I tryed to feed him today but he wont eat, he just swims agains a rock all day.

any help would be apreciated. thanks in advance.

sounds like possible lockjaw however if that is the case there are some medications that may help, dont know what they are off hand right now, but better to have lockjaw with an open jaw rather than an open, still able to get food into its mouth, also if it is lockjaw its usually caused from poor diet or poor tank quality

well my water seemed to be ok. The only thing was a bitt off was that my Calcium was low at 405 when its usually at 450-460.

today i woke up and the clown fish was gone. It was floating on top of the tank.
-
Now im not sure if this could of happen but i have a malunaris (spelling) wrasse that was keeping an eye on the clown fish and since it is the smallest fish in the tank, i believe it might of harrased it or stressed it out.
-
Now i feed my fish a slice of algae in the morning, then in the afternoon i feed, mysis shrimp, clam, formula two pelets and sometimes a bit of a silverside for the wrasse. i repeat this before i go to sleep and i only feed as much as they could eat before food starts going everywhere.
-
would it be ok to get another perc for my lonely perc or should i just wait a while? (since i do have to quaranteen the clown fish).

thanks for your help...
