HELP: What is wrong with these zoas?

I have a frag of fireworks zoas and they have continuously gathered more of this brown build up on the frag. It is hard and grows between the polyps and is starting to encrust/overtake the heads. Anybody know what is growing here?

That looks like a fungus.. I've heard dipping in furan-2 or lugol's can help. Someone also mentioned a 50/50 hydrogen peroxide dip.

I took a knife and I cut away as much of the fungus as possible. 4 heads separated from the plug and the rest are still attached. I'll have to wait and see how they recover

They are actually doing very good. I'll try and post a picture when they open up in the morning. The polyps have started to take over the are that was starting to cover them up. I love these zoas because they grow so fast and are the brightest zoas I have ever seen under blues. The dissection of the fungus caused 4 polyps to separate from the plug but I have them recovering in a substrate dish on the bottom of the tank.

As i said the zoas are doing fine and have even started to encrust where the cut was made to remove the overtaking-algae

For algae issues on frag plugs I just HP dip them for a couple mins, kills the algae. ****es off the z's and p's for a bit but after the algae dies off, clean frag plug.
