HELP! What the heck is this thing?

This just showed up one day:

Any idea what the heck it is? I noticed it first in the back of the tank and it has since moved to the front where it has stayed for a few days.

Any ideas???

Looks like a rock anemone to me.

Also, It is about 3" across.

I believe that it is some sort of corallimorph. they can detach and from what ever they were attached to and seem to move around the tank and will settle and attach itself again.

Will it attack or harm coral?

No it will not, but it probably will multiply. You possibly have 2 already.

I doubt it's a threat.

I'm leaning toward rock anemone. I'm surprised it lasted so long without direct feeding. It may eat some smaller, slower fish, but I wouldn't be concerned with anything over 1 inch.

Live aquaria has one right now. Looks a little like yours. Frilly edges with smaller bumps toward the center, and radiating lines.

I am leaning toward rhodactis. I cant see the mouth though. My rhodactis is this same color, more bumpy, and has a neon green mouth.
