So it's suppose to be Spring but it feels more like Summer... And the house I recently moved into can really hold the heat. :| My 55g is at a temp of 86 and above. (I'm freaking out now!) I have three fans on it right now and it's not even making a dent.

I'm checking out this chiller and wondered if anyone has ever heard of it or have any feedback on it.

It's a Eco Plus 1/4HP Chiller. Here's some detail:

Try the local Sacramento Club Forum.......M.A.R.S., Marine Aquarist Roundtable of Sacramento under the clubs forum section on Reef Central.

At the price these chillers are, they better be good.
I just hooked up a Polar Bear CC-25 made by Via Aqua this weekend and so far so good......opened up another can of worms though.....controller.

Welcome to Sacramento. It will be over 100 degrees shortly.

I asked about this issue when I was visiting a well known LFS in Milpitas and was told that a quick temporary fix is to take some clean 20 oz bottles; fill with water (but leave some space in the bottle so the ice can expand), cap and freeze. Then place one in the tank or if you have a sump, it is better to place it in the sump. This will drop the temperature. Remove the bottle when the temperature drops.

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately I don't have room for bottles in the tank or sump. Space is very limited. BUT the good news is the chiller is on it's way and I can't wait to hook it up!
