help with 2 ID's

I need a couple of ID's
The 1st one was sold as a brain..its purple w/ green eyes

The second was sold as a Monti

Also they're under {6bulbs} T5 in a 120 with good flow

Your first coral is a type of Acanthastrea, I believe. I am not sure of the trade name.Your second coral is Superman Montipora (red polyps on a blue base).

Sounds like you have made a good deal.

The superman can get quite expensive, depending on coloration and size.

Acan: low to med flow, same for lights
Monti: med flow, med lights (they may need adjustment for T5, so work your way up)

The first one is definitely a A. Echinata
The second one is a monti but there is something about it that can't make me say it's a superman IMO. I have seen true supermans from tubbs and others. Maybe will color up better????

Like i said earlier there is something about it that doesn't want me to say it's a superman. It looks pink with blue highlights and red polyps....IMO

It's a different type of Monti then the Original Superman and the cultured ones coming in these days. IME that piece will develope a purple body and purple polyps over time.

I just picked it up and it has not colored up just yet. i also picked one up thats abit brown with blue polyps. I'll take some more pics in a couple days..

Yeah, I'm just telling those people that are saying it's a super man that it isn't. The structure of the coral not even danae, I don't think. Most of those supermans out there are cultured in the ocean and harvested. We own a store and sometimes bring them in, at first they look great then 6 months later it starts turning like a brick red color, the whole thing. At first i thought my lighting or perimeters were wrong......

the other one that I have was sold as a Danae only this is its mostly brown but has started turning blue.. A sky blue color{polyps}. So I'm hoping it turns out nice..
Under the T5 whats the height and flow you suggest.

For the Monti Med/high flow and High light Some of the Danae's really need blasted with light to get good color.
