help with 7094 and 6100 setup

I just bought two 6100's and a 7094 controller.
I got the manual but it isn't exacly easy for me to follow.
My tank is 8ft long and I have one pump on each end.
I want one on 100% while the other is 30% and then vice-versa to create a back and forth wave.
can someone give me idiot advice (very detailed) on what to set all the adjustments to????

Use pulse mode, this is the mode with the single arrow that is wider and narrower. Plug one pump into the first socket and one into the third. Set the knobs opposite so that the top knob on channel one is 100%, the bottom knob is 30% and the top knob on channel 2 is 30% and the bottom knob is 100%. Set the number of seconds on the pulse knob between the two speeds, the range is 1.5- 7 seconds.
