I just got a brand new 9011 skimmer and set it up today.
I have it in-sump with the suction cup bottom plate fully pushed in until that tab clicks to hold it in place. My concern is the sleeve below the cover and the cover with sliding unit assembly.
They just don't feel very secure to me at all, and a couple of times already when reaching in there to adjust placement I have touched the stand pipe and knocked the entire assembly out of its mount.
Is that supposed to snap into position? Or be held securely in place?
Mine comes out VERY easily, so I'm thinking I must be doing something wrong in the assembly.
The instructions are very difficult for me to follow. Is there somewhere you can link me to with good photos or a description of how it is supposed to be set?
It is barely setting in place, and I don't see how it could be secured in there.
BTW, the two smaller pieces (the sleeve below the cover, and the cover with sliding unit) seem to fit together well and snugly. But when I attach the stand pipe to that plate and push that entire assembly into the skimmer, there's nothing holding it in place. Does that make sense?
I've had to pull the whole thing out about six times today already because it's come loose in the sump.
