help with Anemone

A small powerhead aimed at its base would help. Once the foot starts to lift, you need to work your finger gently and slowly on the foot to get it to detach.

How would you prep them for transport. I have 2 of each that are being sold at a local meeting. I wasn't sure if I should try have them attach to a small piece of pvc tubing..
I also heard that they will release if you swoosh them in a bucket of salt water with the temp at 72. Has anyone ever tried that technique?

I've transported one my GBTA (after it split) in a normal bare bottem container with tank water - didn't have any problems.

I don't know about the swishing - it sounds like it could be a bit stressful.

NO - be careful not to rip the foot. It will usually mean the end of the anemone. You need to be very patient.

I've removed an anemone from a rock twice, the whole process should take about 15 minutes.

If you can remove the rock, just hold an ice cube against the foot (or as close to the foot as you can get it). Once it starts to loosen or pull away, you GENTLY place your finger tip under the foot and prod softly around the foot. It always works for me, with no ill affect to the anemone.
