Help with baby perculas, please

I have 18 day old perculas, all has gone well for my first 'save'. Today I noticed most of them have split into several groups, and are down in the corners of the tank. They seem to be eating okay and parameters are in range. Not sure if this is 'normal'. There are some that are near the top. Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks for any help.

They should be through meta at 18 days old. Cant tell by the small pics. Should be ok if they are eating well and look healthy.

Thanks, they are thru meta, 2 very defined strips, I was just concerned about them staying at/near the bottom.

ok thanks good to know.i thought about breeding some fish but did not know what to feed the babies or how to set up a tank for that.

they group up for security. do you have anything in the tank for them to hide in or near? like pvc fittings or something.

Thanks, just the heater tube and sponge filter. I am aware how they group/school my concern is they are staying on the bottom. They still look healthy, I am sure they would have starved by now if they weren't eating, they have a full 2nd stripe. I have enlarged the pics. I am still learning...

I was told by an experienced breeder that fries tend to group together and stay in certain area is when there's issue with water parameters. Have you checked all of them and what are the reading? Check nitrate and nitrite also, the breeder told me those two parameter can cause issues for the babies.

Thanks, everything is good, I have read more & talked with others, this seems to be a fairly 'normal' routine of growing out. Some see it and some don't.

you're fine. At this point keep up the regimen and enjoy. In my opinion the tough part is getting past meta, then having them adjust from rots to bbs, or if you skip bbs, to oto.

how many are in this batch and are you raising the subsequent batches also?

Best guess, close to 100.

I pulled eggs last night.

Thanks.
