I recently upgraded from my DIY PVC overflow pipe to a eshoppes overflow box with dual drains.
My PVC overflow was plumbed with hard pipe. Never had bubble issue and my skimmer worked fine.
Now I am running 2 SPA flex tubing from the overflow box to the sump. Now my skimmer is barely skimming, and it's pumping bubbles into my sump. Big bubbles, not micro bubbles. I have a filter sock I tried, but it was burping bubbles every 20 seconds. Enough to splash water out of my sump.
Now my spa tubing is sitting fairly deep in the sump, should I try cutting them back till they are maybe 2 inches from the sump water surface?
Any other suggestions?
I can crank up my return pump as I have it throttled back by a seperate "t" fitting. As my DIY overflow Couldent handle the pump "1200 gph"
