Hey everyone. Last week I purchased a green carpet anemone. (i beleive its a haddoni)
He settled into a nice spot for the first few days. Ive been feeding him shrimp and scallops. Then this morning I went down to take a look at the tank and he was floating aroudn the tank! so i turned the power heads off and placed him back where he had been. I was wondering where/what your carpets attatch to...glass, rock, etc?
Any advice?

My carpet has been in the same spot in my aquaruim for a month now. Right in the middle on top of a pile of sand that I made a smalll hole in. I assume it's foot is attached to the glass. Some anemones just like to see the sights I would assume, looking for the perfect light and water movement. My LTA use to sit in the middle for about a month solid, the one day it decided the left corner ot the tank was better.

How long has your tank been set up, and what are your current water parameters?

Assuming that you have a Haddoni, it should be attached right at the sand/rock interface. The foot will be in the sand, but right under a rock. At least that has been my experience with them over the last 8 years.

You can see in this picture that its foot is going under the rock right were it meets the sand bed.
