I picked up two clown fish several months ago. Both were less than an inch when I got them. They were sold as Maroon Clowns.
As they have grown, the female is probably close to 2 inches and the male an inch and a half.
As I look at pictures and information on Maroon Clowns, these do not have the "cheek spines" that I read and see in pictures.
Any ideas?
The one pictured is the female. Sorry for the color. They vary from moderately bright orange to very dark, almost black. The head stripe has a light ting of orange to it. They are well behaved to their tank mates and not overly aggressive. Also, have two nems. They swap back and forth happily.
Sorry for the poor pics, not the best photographer.
