What is the the best food for a copperband butterfly? so far tried marine cusine, algea strips, and new life spectrum pellets.. can someone recommend something.

Check out the "Copperband Primer" - a lot of good suggestions there. By best I assume you mean something that he will eat. You might try frozen blood worms, different types of frozen mysis, and frozen brine. Mine will only eat frozen or live
- not flake/pellet. If you have any tube worms, he will almost certainly eat those, and they would be good for him. Maybe take a rock from your sump that has some on it if you have some there but not in your DT. Good luck, and check out the primer.

After almost two weeks of trying different foods at different times mine finally started eating live black muscles bought from the seafood counter at the grocery store.

I read the primer a couple days ago and interestingly a lot of people were feeding red wiggler earthworms from the baitshop.
