help with Coralife super skimmer

I recently bought an ASM g3 and moved my CSS 125 to another tank. It was running in the sump of my 72 before and it was working great. Now it's HOB on my 80, but it's not running as well. The problem is that I'm not getting many air bubbles in the venturi. I took the pump apart and checked for clogs in the air line and in the pump inlet and didn't see anything major, but cleaned them out anyway. I'm not sure what else to do.

Also, about the ASM g3, is the outflow tube supposed to be adjustable? I've read some things that made it sound like it should move up and down. Or is it the foam tubing around it that I move up and down? I don't really understand what that is for. I don't have any instructions and I'm not sure how to make adjustments to the water level.

The outlet tube on the G3 is adjustable, the foam sleeve is a bubble diffuser.

My SS125 decreased bubble production even after cleaning the venture thouroughly and replacing the air line. Within a couple of weeks the impeller shaft broke, that's been six weeks ago and still waiting for the replacement

I fixed the problem on the CSS. There was some salt stuck in the air line that I didn't notice before.

On the ASM, I think I'm missing the adjustable part of the outlet tube. What I have seems to be one solid tube, it doesn't move up or down and when I look at it it doesn't appear as if it should. Is this a piece I can buy or fix DIY style? Or am I just not doing something right?

Do you like the CSS? I just won the 125 gal model off Marine Dep and can not decide if I want to keep it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I like the CSS a lot. Every couple of days I have a ton of nasty junk in the cup. I think for the money it's a great skimmer. I was going to get the 220 instead of this ASM, but I stumbled onto a really good deal on it and from what I hear it should be even better so I couldn't pass it up.
