This is what I plan on doing and help / advise would be appreciated since I have never done this before.
- From the RODI unit it flows into a 5 Gallon Bucket that hangs on a hook from the basement rafter
- Inside the 5 Gallon Bucket is a Kent top off valve/system
- 2" from the bottom of the bucket a 1/4" hole drilled for 1/4" refrigerator hosing
- below the 5 Gallon bucket will be my homeade Nislen reactor in which the 1/4" refrigerator tubing from the 5 gallon bucket will gravity feed into.
- The reactor will be powered with a 600 maxijet and turned on every 4 hrs. for 10 mins.
- from the reactor it will go to a Kangaroo 324 dosing pump that will pump into my sump
Will this set up work??? should the pump go between the reactor and sump or top off water and reactor? How many times and for how long should I run the pump in reactor?
Or instead of making a Nilsen Reactor just use the 5 gallon bucket that I am currently using for top off water.
place a pump inside bottom of the 5 gallon bucket with timer since my 5 gallon bucket already has a top off switch valve. And just hook up the dosing pump from a 1/4" tube I will make near the top of the 5 gallon bucket that will flow into my sump.
Thanks in advance
Garrick
