Help with Dragon's Breath Macro!

Hey guys, I recently ordered some dragon's breath from someone here on the forum and it doesn't seem to be doing well. I ordered 2 pieces about half the size of a dollar bill and when it arrived it looked like it suffered. I attribute it to a poor shipping experience. I don't blame the guy who shipped them because he did a good job bagging and insulating the plants and included a heating pack but my post office didn't do a good job understanding me when I said that they were perishable aquatic plants and when they tried to deliver when I wasn't home they made me wait til the next day to pick up my package. So after they spent 4 days in a box and cold temperatures the heating pack lost its heat and the water these plants were in was almost as dark as a can of beets. So I floated them for a couple minutes then got them into some fresh tank water. They were both bright orange and I thought they would be ok cause they looked amazing under my blue light but now after being in my tank for 3 days they're starting to fade to green. About half of the first one is green and about a quarter to a third of the second one is as well. I'm not sure what the care requirements are for this macro, the guy told me to put them out under some good lighting and good flow and they should rebound, but they're looking progressively worse. Any ideas on what I can do? I took out the worse looking of the 2 and trimmed back most of the stuff that looked like dying pieces and put it back in my display in hopes that it will help. Really hope I can save it before it's a total loss!

This species does not ship well and four days in a box didn't help. I have found that once it starts to go downhill it is hard to bring it back. Also it seems to grow best when undisturbed and allow to grow. Only when it reached a good size would I divide it and move the pieces into a new tank.

Good luck, I hope it comes back for you. If not I would wait until spring and try again. It looks great with green macros for contrast.

Yea looks like it's too far gone. The guy is gonna send me new pieces since they didn't make it. We're gonna wait for some better weather then try again
