Help with Duncan quick please

I went to move my Duncan out a little bit since we are acclimating it to the lights and it snapped right off the rock thing it was on. I can't get him to stick back on there with the glue I've got. Can I just bury the bottom of the skeleton in the sand until I can grab some better glue tomorrow?

What kind of glue are you using? Are you trying to glue it while under water? If so try gluing it outside. Having the coral out of the water for a short amount of time won't hurt it. But sure, if you want to shove it into a hole or bury it that's fine too. Not sure how stable it'll be because I've noticed everything I've put into the sand gets uprooted or uncovered pretty quick. Why not just swing by a walmart or hardware store and grab some super glue. Doesn't have to be anything fancy. Just make sure it's reef safe

The glue I have is Thrive. I took the rock out and dried it off but panicked and didn't want to take the coral out for long. I will try drying the rock off and the bottom of the skeleton out of the water and see if it will stick. Thank you

Super glue gel (get the gel, not the liquid) is reef safe. :) Dab the end you're gluing with a paper towel to remove any slime. Should be a piece of cake!

(Addit: Sorry, didn't mean to imply the liquid is not safe - it just doesn't work as well for attaching coral. 3M also makes a gel, tubes with a red cap.)
