I just purchase my first tang an Atlantic Blue tang, he looks healthy and strong is about 2.5", he is in QT right now, but i don't know the special care of tangs, i have been reading and have been trying to make him eat, but is not taking anything i have feed.

I have put a little of the food i have in my stock and don't even bother to look it, flakes, spirulina, about 4 types of pellets, frozen mysis shrimp, etc.

What should i feed??

PS: i have just put a really small portion of food, and take the left over out of QT.

How many days has it been in QT? A fish might not eat for days or weeks from the stress of shipping and going into a new tank. I had a potters angel that did not eat for 3+ weeks. Just might have to give it some time.

Yeah, give him a couple more days and turn off tank light. this will help him acclimate to the new environment. Was he eating in the store?

1 day, he has been in the LFS for about 1-2 weeks, seller told me it was eating flakes. But haven't touch the flakes i feed.

He eat, my FW fish food, i try all SW foods i have an none make any effect, i try a pinch of the freswater fish food and he went crazy.

Is not the best, but at least he is eating.

I feed NLS thera-A that is suppose to have garlic, i'll keep giving him FW food mixed with SW food to make it eat SW food.

But i was concern about the fish not eating, but now that he is eating i think everything will be fine, now to wait the QT period.

Now he have something that looks like black ich, i have put a dose of prazipro to the water, what else should i do??
