Help with Fish selection

I would love recommendations for a cool fish or anything else cool I could add to the tank.

Right now I have...

- 35 gallon tank w/ live rock
- 2 clowns (one big, one small- I think they have paired cause they swim around together)
- 2 blue-yellow tail damsels
- small hermit crabs, and small snails

I really like colorful fish- any suggestions that would fit?
I really wanted a tang, but I know the tank is too small- any other fish that are like tangs?
Anything I could add to the tank like starfish, or eels, things like that, that would fit in the tank?
Are there any anemones or plants that I could add with a regular tank light?

Royal gramma, purple or helfrichi firefish, purple or lavender dottyback.

A tube anemone could be a cool addition, they're non-photosynthetic, do some research before you pick one up though.

please, no flame angel in such a small tank...
gobies are really cool, great personalities, and beautiful... catalina, citron clown, green clown, panda all are cool looking and small...your current fish might not welcome new arrivals...remember to qt any new livestock...

What kind of clowns? Since you have a pair, plus two damsels, you should consider that tank will become a semi-aggressive to aggressive tank a few months down the line. I would NOT recommend any of the dartfish as they may end up being bullied. A royal gramma should be fine and is a gorgeous and personable fish. I would also consider an Orchid dottyback as they are colorful and fairly peaceful and capable of holding their own with your present fish. Be careful not to add anything too docile like the firefish because the small size of your tank is going to increase the chances of territoriality and aggression..especially when those clowns grow up.

In a 35g tank, the fish you have are really enough. The damsels and clownfish are both colorful and active. Are you planning to add fish or will you replace the ones in the tank now? Do you have any corals yet? With "regular" lighting, you could add some mushrooms. They are easy to keep and they come in a variety of colors. I have purple and red in one of my tanks.

I have 2 ocellaris clownfish. I probably will get rid of the 2 blue damsels down the road or if I find something else that is cool.

How long must the tank be established for the tube anenome and do the clown like them? Will they eat my little fish or hermit crabs? I don't have any live coral but may get some mushrooms or feather dusters? Will the anemone eat them?

Also with my 2 current clowns ( they tend to pick on damsels) get along with "catalina, citron clown, green clown, panda clown"???

You may want to look at a goby / pistol shrimp pair. They are very fun to watch and once established you wont have to worry about them getting picked on.

I would look at getting rid of the 2 damsels and get a wrasse if you like the very active fish. I have a Yellow Wrasse and he swims around nipping at my rocks all day long. Very active. Also, you need to make sure you have plenty of live rock for them.

You may want to wait a while before adding an Anenome tho. I have heard tho someone else will have much more expertise in this field that they require a 6-12month established tank. Good luck.
