I am looking for a colorful fish, that is a decent size, most likely a Tang? OR? Reef Safe is a must, it cannot be long and skinny shaped (mean neon dottyback)
Any Help????

90G RR tank 115Lbs or so of LR

2 clowns
1 bangaii
1 neon dottyback
1 orange spot rabbit
1 long nose hawk

That is my stock list as of now. a month ago i got a atlantic blue tang, which is what I really wanted. Was still yellow and about 3.5inches long, was skinny when I got her, so i was feeding every day and she ate good but never got any weight on her...and she passed, well is gone actually???

I was looking for a brighter fish really, but my LFS has a really nice looking chocolate I have been pondering on, nice looking fish for sure!

Which tangs are you looking for? There are several really nice looking species out there. You might consider driving to Chicago to get a better selection. I was in The Living Sea Aquarium yesterday and they had a lot better selection then you find around here, plus the tangs were a lot healthier then what I have been seeing in the QC for a bit.

The purples that he has do look pretty good. The powder blue also looked good as well. The yellows and hippo blues have not been real healthy there lately. I had to deal with internal parasites in the individual ones I bought from him a few weeks ago. They are eating good finally and starting to put on weight. I had a LO Foxface from him parrish. Once he dies I cut him open, he was full of intestinal worms and never stood a chance.

Its better to know why one dies then wonder. I do it when my wife is not watching. You dont disect a named creature.

All tangs are ich prone somewhat. You should be qt'ing fish anyway before they go in to your display. If they do develop ich it is easy to treat in QT.
