Help with Gen 2 Hardware upgarde...

The prop- there is a groove on one end- does that go toward or away from the magnet? Is that suposed to lock into something?

Is the prop threaded onto the screw?

I have tightened the screw and bolt but the prop (and screw) can still spin without the magnet turning...


No instructons with pictures?? that is not right.

I have put on the old hardware and It still has the same problem.
If It is tightened to much it doesn't spin free, and when it is any more loose the prop & screw spin without the magnet.

is this normal?

the prop doesn't seem to thread on- so what is going on?

Only hand tighten the nut.

I also happened to come home today and the motor and wet side came apart- for the first time. I figured it was a good time to put on the upgrade but something must be wrong...

only had it for a few weeks....

The groove or slot of the prop goes against the drive shaft. The prop does not thread on just slides onto the screw and flush to the drive shaft. Make sure it is all the way on and flush to the shaft. Hand tighten the nut and all should rotate freely. The fact that you have problems with the old hardware and the wet side falling off leads me to believe you have problems not related at all to the magnet kit. You may need to send the wet side in for rebuild so we can get it right.
