Help with Hulk Zoa frag.

I got this frag about 3 weeks ago from vivid. The first day it looked like the picture below then shortly after they closed up and never opened. 5 days ago I decided to take them out and dip them in coralrx. A lot of copepods came out but nothing suspicious. Since then they have opened up a little more as you can see in the picture, but nothing like they should be. What should I do from here? One side seems to be open a lot more than the other so I was thinking of cutting it in half and seeing if they do better. I do water changes every 10 days and all my params are great. All my other zoa's including 4 other frags I got at the same time are doing great. No noticeable white spots or parasites that I can see.

Any suggestions? All help is appreciated as I would hate to lose this frag.

When you purchased them what type of flow were they under, High, Medium, or Low also how intense was the lighting? What kind of acclimation process did you use? Drip, Temp, Dip

My guess is they are adjusting to the conditions you are currently providing for them.

They didn't tell me the flow but I did call them to ask about the frag. I have 4 t5's and I used a drip method to acclimate until the water matched my DT. I currently have them on the sand bed and I have 2 vortech mp40's in the tank. I purchased 4 other frags from them at the same time and those are all doing great and have grown much bigger. Some have already doubled in size.

Be patient. They may open yet. I wouldn't frag it. It's already stressed and fragging would only add to that. If there was a specific area on it that looked bad and you wanted to save the rest, I'd consider fragging, but that doesn't look like the case here.

I have some Hulks (ok, Dr. Macs Pluto Polyps, look the same), and they close up every so often. They are smaller but bright when open.

IMHO I believe they were fragged as you purchased them and not given any time to heal. Give them another week and keep us posted

Live it alone for a while and just keep checking on it.
It's stressed out and needs time to get back to normal.
No dips anymore, please.

Grandis.

OK I haven't moved it and I will just leave it alone for a few weeks. I keep checking every night when the lights go out hoping I don't see any nudi's. So far so good. Hope they pull through.
