Help with Identification

Hello,
I recently added a couple of branches of frogspawn to my tank, and right around the base of one, a strange zoanthid-like polyp has taken root, and is growing fast. it is brown and kind of spiky. I'm still pretty new to this hobby and am just wondering if it is anything I should be concerned about. Attached is a picture of it.

Any help/advice would be great
Thanks

Aiptasia, remove the rock it is in or use aiptasia x. Copperbands sometimes eat them or get a berghia nudi.

+1 on the aptasia. I've had great luck with aptasia-x--just make sure to follow directions and turn off all circulation before treating and leave off for 30 minutes. Stay on top of treating them when you see them. Good luck!

Yesterday I got a frag with some on it. I put super glue on it then used jbj water weld and covered it. That works too if you can't get at it with joes juice/aptasia-x. Before getting a nudribranch or copperband you might want to look into peppermint shrimp. I got 2 and they wiped out any aptasia I had previously.
