I have had my tank for 7 months now. I have done EVERYTHING slow slow slow. My parameters are all good. My problem is about a month ago I got a leather polyp. At my LFS it looked great. I did all the research for it and went ahead and tried it for my first coral. I put it in my tank and it just stayed closed up. I know it is in the best lighted area so I just gave it time. Again slow slow slow. Finally I decided the water flow wasn't enough. So I purchased a larger filter to clean the tank residue and increase flow. At first i though I did it. Some polyp opened up and looked as if it was about to bloom. I was so excited to see it opened up when I got home from work. Well now it is closed up no polyps extended and has a purple tint all this in a 24 hr period. SUGGESTIONS PLEASE I just hope it isnt dying. Its not leaning it is standing up so I just don't know. Maybe the lighting. I just have standard LED lights but they are rather bright.
