All you guys are GREAT! I just prchased a gorgeous large LTA. First I was having problems getting it to stay put, kept getting blown around in the current. I finally have it set at the highest point in my tank under 18,000 T-5 and actinic. It has yet to open fully after 2 days. How long should I wait till I need to really worry? Had my LFS check my chemistry and only had to add calcium.

55g starting reef with (2) penguins, (2) powerheads, no skimmer (yet), (1) yellow tang, (1) maroon clown, (1) 6 line wrasse, (1) PJ cardinal, and (3) BG chromis.

pH-8.0, nitrites-0, nitrates-0, ammonia-0, SG-1.021, kH-7, temp-81f. Any help and encouragement greatly appreciated.

From what I understand they like to be down on the bottom with thier foot buried in the sand. Mine has always been in the sand. It took a few days before he picked a spot. He probably won't stay where you put him.

Thanks Scooby, I had to take him back to the LFS, cause he started looking very stresed. I didn't want to hurt him. Traded him iin for a Heli anemone plate, they don't move. The LFS thinks I don't have enough live rock yet, and my chemistry was a little off. Thanks for the advice.
