Unsuccessful with the bottle trap : (

Unsuccessful with rinsing the rock : (

Looks like hammer and chisel to the rock -

I first found the rock he was in and rinsed under sink spigot nothing came out (although I hoped he may have went down the drain)

Left the rock I saw him in out in the air for awhile - nothing came out

Since this is a new tank, when I put the rock back in, I spread all of it across the bottom unstacked, and put two bottle traps w/ silversides in them in as well . . .

After 3 days nothing, (he must have went down the drain!)

Removed bottle traps - arranged rock to my liking (again and again and again)

Guess what I saw last night? Peeking his evil head out from the largest rock on the very bottom of my aquascaping?

Set another trap an nothing this morning but some snails that had found their way into the trap - - -

I can shine a flashlight into the hole he is in and see him back there - snickering -

Time for hammer and chisel?

HELP !

2 things u can do is do a freshwater dip for 30sec or a take tongs with a shrimp in front of his hole and lure him out in the open and net him from behind and do what u like to him well i hope that helps and give us some pics of him later

Tried the freshwater dip previously - The tongs sound interesting. Have you had success with this method?

I'll get pics and proudly display them when I catch him.

BTW he's red and blue - looks like spots on his "arms" too

yes i have had success with that method and i know a few ppl as well he sounds cool and smart well i hope it works out for u btw is its not that big start a mantis tank they are good pets and pest lol like a 10gal or a 5.5 is he is like 2'' to 3'' later

Don't fight him, work with him.

Be nice and treat him like a pet for a week:

By some frozen krill and use the tweezers to wave it about in front of his burrow. After a little while he will get used to it and you'll be able to coax him farther and farther out of the hole to grab the food. That's when you have the net waiting.

Then just post it here instead of killing it, I'm sure someone would take it off your hands.

Got 'em ! (had to bust a rock though)
Looks alot darker than I saw originally - Maybe cause of the lighting - but does show some teal-blue color along w/ dark red
about 2" long -

Trades welcome !
