i got this baby maxima about 6 weeks ago from FAOIS. it has been doing fine and attached itself to a rock in my tank.the problem is that i need to move it to make room for more live rock and sps corals(that and i would like to have all 3 of my clams together on the bottom).i have posted in the clam forum and got no help so maybe you all can help.hey maybe mr itchyman can chime in and help me out.

I have teased the foot on mine and was able to move it. I have even taken an exacto knife and cut the threads to move them I have never had any problems doing that I was also told they can live without a foot. good luck.

The above is correct. If you carefully slip an exacto or a sharp pair of medical scissors underneath and give it a little cut it should cause no harm. Try to cut just the strands, and not the white fleshy foot if possible. Good luck.
