Help with mp40 second gen. wetside

Hello all, I bought two used mp40's. I took out the cage on the wetsides and both were spinning fine.
I took it apart to inspect the rest (magnet, ect). After reasembling, the magnet does not spin when I turn the propeller. I watched the video and put things back like they should be. I called Vortech and basically told me I needed new wet sides.
Has anyone have this problem?. Solution?

I bought a few nylon washers yesterday but still having the same problem.
Should I just put it in the tank and see if it fixes itself. Weird how it was fine before I took it apart and now the prop does not spin the magnet.
I've read a few post where the same problem has happened but seems like the only solution is to get a new Wet Side.

Post pictures. Are these the older style or the mp60/10 style?

The older 40 style has many variables. If it isn't spinning it's likely the bearing not being seated properly.

Also, It wouldn't hurt to get a new wetside so you can rotate through, clean, and inspect them. One day they are going to fail... the old style is well... very old at this point.
