Yesterday I noticed my clown was looking pretty ragged! His fins are all frayed and his dark black is getting light blotches.... the white stripe back at tail looks to be reddish under the skin... not sure if it's a disease or if has getting bullied by the female. They have been together for at least 6 months and but come feeding to e the female chases him around. Any advice would be great... I would hate to lose him to a parasite or disease. I'll try to post some pics
Thanks

That looks like aggression on the perc (female); the male is a maroon correct? Odd though maroons usually the ones most aggressive.

I would try and get him out and in hospital tank. Clowns hard to get out and don't use a net if you haven't known that. Best way for me is to turn off lights wait till it's like sleeping and get a clear container and grab it out; or use a net to make it go after that and behind it use a container if this makes sense. Just dont use nets to get them can be a pain to get out. Clowns can change personality from time to time and females can be over aggressive.

Also it's usually not a good idea to mix species.

How long have you had the clowns? Did you QT? Do they both look like this with light blotches on both of them? I’m guessing brook.
