help with my fungia plate

I just bought a fungia plate, I watched it for a few days at the store to make sure it wasnt busted anywhere. Well I picked it up yesterday. Now this morning there is a small white area the size of a quarter that looks like dead tissue. the only thing I can think of is maybe when moving it that portion got exposed to air? We tried not to expose it to air while moving it. my question is should I leave it alone or try to dremel out the affected area???

i dont know about the dremel but a picture would help me decide and the air should not have effected it .any picture would be great .

Ya i think a dremel would just cause more damage and stress.

High Phosphates the issue maybe? See lots of cyano.

I know in my tank if alk or calcuim are low they tend to recede. What are you levels for alk, Cal, and mag?
