Help with my OC clowns

I've had 2 OC clowns in my tank for 4 months and recently they've started behaving very strangly. When I got them they were both small and about the same size. One is bigger now and is always chasing the smaller one and nipping at it to the point of making it look very ragged and discolored. Is this some sort of mating thing or do I have two females? I have the smaller one in a QT net for now. Hoping it will start looking better.

The bigger of the two is the female. Perhaps she doesn't consider the smaller male a suitable mate. Keeping them out of sight from each other will hinder the pairing process.

Placing the smaller clown in a clear container inside the main tank for a couple days may help. If not you'll have to find a new fish, significantly smaller than the large clown.
