so i've been waiting until i move some place more permanent...maybe in the summer...to set up a 90 gal. but i cant wait anymore!!! i need a tank!!

so, i've been thinking of getting a 12 gal NanoCube from Nanocustoms.com. so what lighting setup do you think would be good for zoos, rics and LPS? no matter what, i want a fuge/sump light and the moonlight. here are the options:

3-24W PC (2 50/50, 1 Daylight) ---> 72W total for $345

or

3-24W PC (2 50/50, 1 Daylight) and 2-T5 10k ---> 92W total for $406

would i be fine with the cheaper one? i have a bad habit of buying stuff that is more expensive so i appreciate the help.

thanks,
Dan

if all you wanted to keep were zoos, rics and some LPS you could totally get away with the 72 watts of light. I have zoos, rics, and LPS under the stock DS lighting and everything is doing really well. but hey - if you can swing the extra scratch, then go for the higher.

I was thinking about getting their 3.24, then I realized that the photo that they use as an example really has a bunch of mods added to it (three t5 modules and the refugium light). Kinda takes it out of my price range. But I did want to add the refugium light to my 12 dx. is there a way to set that up so that it comes on when the others are off? Or is it better to just cut the vinyl off the back of the tank and put a light back there? Opinions?
