After i closed it up, i opened the valve (full as its always been) and this is a short video of the flow from it:

On another note, I took tests tonight on my levels:
Alk 9.46 dkh
Calcium: 468
Magn: 1260 - Odd almost the same as before the dosing. Here is a pic of the bottles and levels as the dosing finished tonight:

As you can see, plenty of MAG was dosed but did not really see any impovement. Should i let it dose another full day?
I've turned off the Alk doser.
I think I know what your problem is. Let me ask you a question to confirm. In the first picture is the inflow water coming the left and the outflow going thru the 90 degree elbow in the middle and exit the front of the reactor between the two hanging bracket?
The connection that you have is reversed. The way you have set up with the water coming from the top further compresses the media forcing the water to exit the center pipe thru the bottom. This explained why you forced some of the GFO into the sump earlier.
The correct connection is water coming in from the top thru the center pipe to the bottom and then rises thru the media and exit the reactor at the top.
You need to switch the 90 degree elbow and connector to the left to pick up the incoming water.
Wow, i can't believe i had this reversed the whole time. Thank you Simon yet again! This should definitely help and make a difference with flow
It is always a tough decision on which fish and coral to get. Just one thing about corals. If you get any coral that grows aggressively (eg green star polyps or mushrooms), don't put them on your main rockscape because they will spread and hard to get off the rock. Keep them on its own rock and separate from the other rocks.
Toad stool, frog spawn, and red bubble tip anemone are all good starter soft corals. For hard corals, monti cap or monti dig are also easy to grow.
Some people may not agree with my procedure to acclimate corals. I only float the bags in the tank to acclimate for temperature and then put the coral in.
