Help with nuisance algae

I've got this small brown flaky stuff growing almost everywhere, on the glass - on a lot of the rocks, some soft corals, etc.

I recently fixed some problems with my skimmer after a long absence, so I am hoping that will help. However, I wanted to see if anyone knew what this was, or had any specific suggestions.

1. Test for phosphates
2. Increase water changes
3. Cut photo period
4. Cut feedings

How new is the tank? Have a clean up crew? What type of water are you using?
