Help with open brain coral

Just got an open brain (soft fleshy tissue) but it just refused to open up the flesh. Placed the coral near light (4x38W T5 ) as advised by shop. Could the coral be bleached by the lights? I have since placed the coral at the sandbed with minimum water flow. Try feed with mysis but coral did not feed. It is day 2, and the brain still closed. Any advice will be really appreciated.

Wrong forum but leave it on the sand bed, since that is where they usually like the light/flow. Next time you try to feed it use a plastic Tupperware bowl or something that will cover the brain entirely. Feed the brain and put the Tupperware over the brain for a few minutes to see if this helps it eat. Keep doing this until the brain accepts food without the container
