Help with overflow please!!!

So I am trying to plumb my 90g with a bean animal through the bottom of my overflow due to very limited space from the side but I don't have room for a 3rd t and elbow. With that being the issue is it ok to just use a straight standpipe for the emergency? Also does the main siphon have to be the same height as the others? I can't find much info on standpipe heights :/. Hopefully the pictures explain better than I can!

What you have there is not a bean design. There is a wonderful thread about them on the reef discussion forum with pictures.
And, yes the emergency can be straight, but it has to be the highest pipe that will kick in before your tank overflows.
Your 2nd drain need to be the same height as the 1st drain, not the emergency.
If you use street elbows, they take up much less room!

Here is a picture with no standpipes. I know a herbie would probably be easiest but I'm really looking for a set and forget since I travel for my job and I can't rely on my wife to know what she's looking for.

Hmm, what does your T and elbow do??
- When I got my tank it had a T and elbow. I got rid of both since they were making weird slurping sounds. 6-months into it and I still don't miss either.
I am curious of your reasoning for the use of these two.

Where would you put the third hole? There is very little room in there from what I can tell and a BeanAnimal drain needs all 3 to function properly.

This is my first ever plumbed tank so I was just trying to rough plumb and make it as close to a bean as I could. I have just enough room to drill a third hole to wither the far left or right. I'm open to any suggestions or other overflow ideas! Like I said this is my first ever plumbed tank so I am just taking a shot in the dark.

Your tank is meant to have one overflow and one return through that box! What are you planning on for the return?

I can put the return anywhere but I do have enough room to drill max 2 more holes in the overflow even though it looks really tight. I will search the Herbie and see if I can make that work! thanks for the help

Actually you don't have room for any more holes. A Herbie is the best you are going to get with that setup. It should be fairly easy to set up. Just make sure you use a gate valve and you should be able to set it up and let it run for a long time without adjustment.

Good Luck.

Ok cool! I'll order one today since there are none on this damn island! thanks for your help everyone
