Help with Parameters.

Im in the process of preparing my tank for a first attempt at keeping sps. Equipment wise im fine but my parameters...

Phosphates - 0ppm
Calcium 470ppm
Kh 5dkh
Mag 840

What do i need to do to safety rise the Mag and Alk? I do have some Seachem Alk buffer and im told epson salts rill rise the Magnesium but i just wanted to ask you experts.

you need a better salt for safe rising mag with wc. also a possible test kit problem.
for alk baking soda will be ok.

I only use filtered NSW for water changes. Epson salts is a salt used for raising mag i believe? I just wanted to know if its safe to raise it this way by adding it to my ro top off tank and if so what amount should i add? Its a 115g system with a 3gl top off reservoir. Also how do i raise the alk?

i dont think nsw mag levels about that low. you need to check with another test kit maybe.
