Help with possible nudibranchs....

I need some help. A few weeks ago I lost a new frag of zoanthids from Coral Morphologic. I thought that they just didn't acclimate well and slowly faded away. I dipped them before adding them to my tank but apparently the dip won't kill eggs which I believe were missed. Now, another week later I have at least two more frags that are slowly fading in the same fashion. One or two polyps close up real tight and tissue begins receeding and color fades.

I dipped three frags that I thought might be infected with Coral Rx. Upon moving the frags, pods scattered and bristle worms fled. I don't imagine either of those life forms were giving my zoas trouble as I've had them both since the beginning of my tank. Anyway, I'm not sure what my next course of action should be. I know that I'll have to dip again if there are eggs, but how soon? Tomorrow? The next day? And how long should I keep this up? Any help is appreciated. I'd really hate to lose these frags.

try dipping in flatworm exit. I have heard that it will kill any nudis and possibly the eggs. To be sure I would inspect them with a magnifying glass after dipping to see if you see any eggs on the bases. If you do, use some tweezers to take them off.

CoralRx works pretty well. I use it in a 5g bucket, use 2 gallons of water and a small "jetstream" style powerhead, like an old maxijet or something to keep the water flowing after the recommended time I will use the stream from the powerhead to blow the corals off. It usually cleans them off pretty well and I have been successful at removing nudi's and there eggs this way multiple times. I have been nudi free for about a year now.

What do the eggs look like? I'm fairly sure one of the frags I dipped last night still has some. They are small whitish looking spots, but appear to form larger patterns because there must be clusters. I also didn't scrape them or anything... Should I dip and scrape tomorrow or tonight?

Forgot to mention... I also have about 7 other frags that are doing just fine. Are these other frags in immediate danger? Should I be dipping them too? Should I quarantine them? Aaaaaaaah!

What you saw is probably eggs and I'd dip and scrape those off asap. As for your other frags, if they don't appear to be bothered, I'd just observe them for now. When I had a couple of nudis on my one frag, the other 2 were untouched. They prefer the nice pretty red ones usually :headwally:

I was wrong... they aren't eggs. I have zoa pox.... @#$$%. I pulled the frags to get a closer look at the 'eggs' and when the polyps were closed up it was easy to see that they aren't eggs at all, just random white spots.

Guess I'll be picking up some furan 2 and a dose of "have some patience" and cross my fingers.

Have you noticed a jump in temperature? IME zoa pox is easily caused by a spike in temp. When I had it I put a 150w halide and the temp on the tank climbed fast, then I began to see zoa pox peak its ugly head around the corner. When I went back with my original lights it cleared up in 2 or 3 days.
