Obligate Feeder Obsessed
just picked up a copperband butterfly today, and i'm wondering about some white spots presenting on the dorsal and tail fins.
my first thought was ich, but i'm also curious if it could be the start of lymphocytosis, as i understand these guys can be prone to that during stress conditions. i didn't notice it at the store, but i can't rule out that i was just not being observant.
so i guess what i am looking for is a way to differentiate the two conditions. he's in the start of TTM right now, so hopefully whichever it is will be dealt with in short order. he's not scratching or flashing. not eating yet, but he's had a long day.
apologies in advance for the picture quality. for what it's worth these appear more as "inclusions" in the fin, than lumps or raised areas on the surface. otherwise the fish looks like it is in fairly good shape. not nearly as skinny as many i have seen some through the LFS in the past, and seems bright, alert, and responsive.
i will try to get a better picture tomorrow when i have more light.
for some reason the AI Nano i have is blowing up the camera on my phone with blue.
thank you for the help. cheers!
