Help with Rotifers

I currently have a 10 gallon tank of rotifers going. I have not been able to look at it with a microscope in a couple of days so I'm not really sure how well it is doing. I did get a microscope of ebay for $22.00 inc. shipping, it should be hear in a couple of days.

Anyway. I was reading that many people don't heat thier rotifer cultures. Now my rotifers are in the basement and the last time I checked the tank temp was 64.8. Is that too low. Should I put a heater in and raise it.

I am going to start a second 10 gallon tank to make sure I have a backup in case this one should crash. I have enough heaters to heat both batches.

Can anyone explain their setup for me so I can compare. If you could go into details of maintanence, water changes, cleaning the bottom.

I have been adding an ammonia binder as per the instructions.

Any help or advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
