Help with skimmer overflow

I have a reef octopus RO-PS-2000 int. Filled my aquarium up yesterday to check my overflow plumbing for leaks and tried skimmer then and it looked good. I was testing my aquarium with freshwater so i wouldn't waste my saltwater. Now that i have my saltwater in it as soon as i plug up my skimmer it completely fills with water. I have no additives in my water. I did epoxy some live rocks together. Could the epoxy do this and if so how can i fix it?

yes the epoxy will certainly effect the skimmer..
It will go away after a while..
Most just crank the skimmer wide open or even raise it up some temporarily and try to get it to skim the best you can and then lower/close it back up as it stops going crazy..
It can take a couple days or more to go away.

If it is a new skimmer that is not unusual. Skimmers sometimes need to break in. My omega 150 took a while to begin skimming properly.

epoxy makes my skimmer overflow. i usually try to remember to clean out the skimmer cup before epoxying frags to my rock. if i forget... all the crap goes back into my tank and the sump gets a layer of nasty foam lol!

just open it to full for a while and slowly dial it in over a couple of days/weeks
