Help with skimmer

I have a PM external skimmer plumbed to a sump. My problem is that as water level goes down due to evaporation i have to adjust my gate valve daily to get the same amount of skimmate the day before. Is there any way to fix this. It's kinda annoying thanks

Try putting a T on the output with the top open and the "downside" going into the sump.

i tried that , it did raise the water level in the riser but im having a hard time keeping it there

raise the skimmer or have the feed pump draw from an area with a constant water level.

I would suggest some kind of auto topoff for your system.

you mean put something underneath my skimmer? the pump is drawing water from a second chamber of the sump with constant level of water

i have to tweak my gate valve every hour just to get the same skimmate..not daily like i stated earlier.
