Help with skimmer

My skimmer keeps bubbling over randomly, it will be fine for a few days then I come home from work to a mess in my cabinet, what could be causing this? I normally skim pretty dry otherwise I get overflow issues.

So weird.. Seen quite a few posts lately with eshopps skimmers going goofy.. Mine has been doing it too..
Have you added anything (chemicals) or new filter sponges or anything?

Mine started foaming like crazy.. Would fill the cup in 1 minute.. Did that for maybe 20 cups full.. ( I just let it go giving me a "water change" as so much was coming out)
Now the next day it was under running and "surging" like it wasn't primed and little bubbles.. So I'd get the air out the best I could and its fine for a few hours then goes surging/very little bubbles again..
I've cleaned it twice already and it seems ok for a bit then goes goofy..
I still have to play with it more to find out whats going on..

Yea it seems to me that the water level just won't stay consistent

I did superglue some frags last night, but it seems to happen a lot, not just this once

superglue can do it for sure..
coral foods..and other chemicals for sure..

Only chemicals are calc and alk, once in a while I feed oyster feast

So the basics...
Have you given it a good tear down/cleaning (vinegar soak,etc..)? Including into the venturi section/air line washed out..
Do you have it in the proper water level in the sump and does that section stay consistent?

The section can't go any higher or lower. I cleaned it mabey 2-3 months ago, but it's not very dirty at all
