Help with supplemental lighting to bring out reds

I am running 2 Radium 400w hqi on the outside and 1 reeflux 12k 250 over the center of my tank. I also run 2 160w actinic VHO's. I run the VHO's 10 hours and the halides 3 hours. Everything looks great except my pinks and reds suffer. Is there a VHO bulb that I can swap out one of my VHO's for that will bring out the reds? How about a bulb I can add, LED? I've always liked the Japanese tanks that had red lights over red corals. I am willing to get outside the box!

From what I understand there is a red T5 bulb that people are using that looks sweet but i am waiting to hear from someone that actually uses it

I could very well be wrong but I was under the impression that reds and pinks needed more light, not less. Have you tried increasing you MH period?

Yeah the rest of the corals don't seem to like it, but if this is true I could move the reds up.........
