Short story...
I wired up a T5 retro kit this morning (basic wiring and waterproof caps, Phillips advance ballast, ATI bulbs)... Plugged it in to test, I hear the ballast kick on, the bulb lights, but after about a half second it turns off.
Suggestions/ideas?
Complete story...
I've been using a 4 bulb Hamilton retro kit for about 3 years now... Recently one of the ballasts failed, so today I decided to replace it. Dead ballast is a workhorse 5 solid state electronic ballast, new ballast is a Phillips advance program start electronic ballast (had it left over from a previous project). Wiring was simple enough.. Yellow to yellow, red to red, blue to blue, black to black, white to white, green to ground. I plugged things in, the ballast kicked on and the bulb lit up. For about a half second. After that, nothing.
Any suggestions?
TIA.
